Megan Fox Biography
Megan Denise Fox was born in Tennessee but moved to Florida at the age of 10. Her parents were divorced so she was raised by her mother and step-father. She had a very strict upbringing and was not allowed to have any boyfriends. Megan began training dance and drama at the age of 5 years. By the age of 13 Megan had began modeling. She had a very hard time in High School because she was bullied. She had to eat her lunch in the bathroom. She also had a problem making friends with other girls and instead got along with boys more a problem she still has. Owing to her success as a model, Megan found work soon in Hollywood. She got a starring role on the TV Series Ocean Ave (2002-03), which lasted for two years. The she got a role on the sitcom Hope and Faith as Sydney Shanowski, the show lasted till 2006, when the show got cancelled. The cancellation proved to be a blessing in disguise for Megan as she soon got a chance to make her debut in movies. She got a supporting role in Holiday in the Sun starring the Olsen twins; unfortunately the movie went straight to DVD.
She finally made her big screen debut in an unaccredited role in Will Smith’s Bad Boys II. She starred in a TV movie named Crimes of Fashion (2004) which helped her in getting her next movie. Her next was Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004) starring Lindsay Lohan. She played a negative role in the movie. Her role as Lindsay’s arch nemesis was well appreciated and it also was helped by the fact that she did not get along with Lindsay during the filming of the movie.
Megan’s next became the breakthrough movie for her. She was cast as Mikaela Banes in Transformers. Although the movie is about the robots and Sam Witwicky, Megan stood out with her sexy portrayal of her character. The movie was a worldwide hit and Megan became an overnight star. That year she featured in many Men’s magazine top 100 lists. Suddenly she was in the limelight; she was being written about by every tabloid in the business. There were even comparisons being made to Angelina Jolie.
Still basking in Transformer’s success Megan’s next movie came out. In How to Lose Your Friends and Alienate People (2008) Megan played a small supporting role. The movie did not do well but her career was unharmed. She reprised her role in the sequel Transformers: The Rise of the Fallen. This movie too was a huge hit and gave way for another sequel. Megan came out with Jennifer’s Body, a movie about a serial killer killing off all her male high school classmates. Megan played the serial killer in the movie. Since the movie was made on a small budget, it became a small hit.The shooting for Transformers 3 was to begin soon, and then came the bad news that Megan was no longer a part of the movie. Megan had opted out of the movie. There was also a little controversy when Megan said in an interview that the director of the movie Michael Bay was a tyrant on the sets. The crew of the movie reacted by accusing Megan of being dumb. Megan has moved on from the issue and concentrating on building her career. There were even rumors of her being cast as the next Lara Croft but nothing has been confirmed yet.
